Midwest Premier League, Rockford FC cancel 2020 season

ROCKFORD, Ill. (March 27, 2020) In conjunction with the Midwest Premier League, Rockford FC announced Friday that it would be canceling the 2020 season due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are deeply saddened that we will not be able to bring soccer to the stateline this year, but we want to ensure the safety of our players, coaches, fans and community and this is the best way to do that," said RFC President and Founder Samir Romero.

For the players that were invited back for our final tryout, thank you for your patience. When we reschedule the tryout, those players will be notified and will not be charged again.

In the event that there are any changes, we will keep you posted.

Stay safe and remember to follow the CDC's guidelines to social distancing.
