Rockford Born. Rockford Raised. Rockford Proud.
Rockford FC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and community-organized semi-pro soccer team bringing fun and entertaining soccer to the Rockford metro community. Our area features strong talent and clubs at the youth level but has lacked an adult team to bridge the gap between youth soccer and the professional levels. We seek to provide that outlet to our young athletes and take their game to the next level.
RFC was founded in 2019 by Samir Romero, who is a former Rockford Christian H.S. assistant and Rockford Lutheran H.S. boys head coach, and Brendan Noble. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, its first playing season was in 2021.
Rockford FC plays in the Heartland Conference of the Midwest Premier League along with other semi-pro teams from Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Indiana.
